eAUDIOBOOKS FROM NETLIBRARY
The Jacksonville Public Library is proud to announce that it has partnered with netLibrary and Recorded Books to offer eAudiobooks to our patrons.
What are eAudiobooks? They're basically the same books on tape and/or CD you've come to love and enjoy, but with a difference -- you can download these audiobooks at home and listen to them on your computer or your portable media player.
In order to use this service, you must first set up an account with netLibrary.
After you have created your account, you can browse or search the netLibrary site for the eAudiobook you are interested in checking out.
Finally, download the eAudiobook book and transfer it to your device.
netLibrary has provided a short demonstration to help you learn more about eAudiobooks: http://www.oclc.org/netlibrary/demo/
Check our eAudio Facts for more information and help on choosing a portable media player.
NOTE: While this service is free of charge and there are hundreds of eAudiobooks specifically for chidren and young adults, there are also many eAudiobooks listed that are intended for adults. Make sure you check with your parent before using this service and/or downloading a specific eAudiobook.
